Las Vegas earned its reputation as ‘Sin City’ with its unparalleled nightlife, wild day parties, and famous casinos. However, there’s a lot more to Las Vegas than just The Strip. For those seeking a destination that has nature as well as nightlife, Vegas is a surprising and amazing option.
My buddies and I were certainly drawn to the city’s bright lights and legendary parties when we planned our yearly guys’ trip, but we also hoped to do a bit of hiking and outdoor activities. In the end, Sin City had everything we wanted, so we booked our flights and a stay through Zurfers and packed our bags.
We arrived on The Strip after dark, so we got the full view of the neon lights in all their glory. Enormous casinos and hotels were in every direction, making it an incredible sight.
After our bags were safely stored in the hotel, we headed out to taste Las Vegas’ famous nightlife, first stopping at the XS, which we knew we wanted to check out before we even arrived. Famous for their celebrity DJs, the venue lived up to the hype. It was crowded and a little pricey, but we figured it was worth the splurge for our first night in Vegas.
After a slow start after our late night, we got ready for day two. Las Vegas is a sprawling metropolis that rises from the Nevada Desert - the perfect environment for a crazy day on a dune buggy. I loved how although Las Vegas is famous for its nightlife, there are also so many things to do during the day.
That evening, we decided to catch a show. We chose Absinthe at Caesar’s Palace, as we read reviews that said it was “adults-only” and hilarious. It was definitely not kid-friendly and was as funny as we had hoped. I definitely would recommend it for those who are not faint of heart.
The following morning, we had planned a jet-fighter simulation, which turned out to be a lot of fun, before heading to Madam Tassaud’s wax museum where we were able to take some pictures some photos before heading to the airport.
